Hello my name is Nanda. M I’m a 16 year old high school student. I have recently joined Mediatopic, Dwan Stillwell, an amazing employer, teaches me website design. While creating websites wasn’t initially in my plan, learning about it at Mediatopic has become something I truly enjoy. I’ve been learning about website creation for a few months, and I know there’s still much to learn. However, I’ve already improved significantly. I’m passionate about the power of great design to tell a story and build a brand. I believe a website is more than just an online brochure, it’s a crucial tool for growth, and I loved to one day help clients unlock that potential.
-Get To Know Me-
I consider myself an adventurous person who enjoys trying new things and expanding my knowledge. Visiting museums is a favorite of mine, as there’s always something new to discover. Trying out something new is how I got into website design and getting more passionate about it. I often encourage others to embrace new experiences, as they can unexpectedly shape your life, career or hobbies. For instance, I recently took a sewing class, which has become a fulfilling hobby. I’m eager to continue learning and improving.
I also find joy in the smallest things in life. Just a few examples, I love animals,traveling, and the simple pleasures of life, like the smell and taste of good food, a warm shower after a long day, the scent of freshly cut grass, clean sheets and holidays. I cherish cozy naps under heavy blankets, the magical look of snow, the color of autumn, and the sweet moments with family and friends. But above all of this the thing I love the most in the whole world that overtakes any in my life is my amazing, most perfect, loving, most adorable cat Jeff :). These are a few things I love, the list goes on really!
-My Skills-
Communication- I have strong communications skills that help me understand instructions and active listening to take in the information and details being described. I make sure to maintain eye contact and nod to show that I’m engaged. As well I always repeat what they have said to make sure I understand their requirements. I’m always taking feedback because I believe this can be key to avoiding miscommunication and strengthening work during a project. With my communication skills I believe it will help me in my career in website design to allow me to have a strong understanding of what my client needs.
Time management- I’m very good at my skill in time management, I use many different specific actions like using a planner to prioritize tasks by using a to-do list to organize tasks and ensure I focus on the most important and urgent ones first. I set goals, I set short-term and long-term goals and create smaller milestone goals to work towards achieving them. Lastly, to avoid delaying, I avoid delaying by identifying the signs and taking immediate action. For example, if a task seems daunting, I break it down into smaller steps and start immediately. With these actions I’m able to manage my time well so that I can meet deadlines and work effectively.
Critical thinking- I’m able to use my critical thinking to problem-solve by identifying the problem precisely, being specific about the issue at hand, then narrowing the issue, which makes it easier to find a solution. As well to analysis, by breaking down information to understand its components and logical connections. I believe this skill will be well used in web design because the job requires to look ahead and predict users’ responses to the choices being made. I believe I’ll be able to use my critical thinking to do that exactly.
